Civic Center Permit

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION 
 
BTB COLLAGEThe Civic Center Program assists with issuing appropriate permits/leases for the supervised use of school facilities in conformance with the California Education Code mandate and the Board of Education rules, which requires that each and every public school facilities be made available for use by the community and non-profit organizations when regular school activities are not disrupted. The activity must be not-for-profit and open to the general public for uses such as recreation, meetings, and public discussions. 
 
Our goal is to facilitate the use of public school facilities as a civic center by the community while ensuring the safety and well being of students, District personnel, community members and safeguarding District Facilities. PROGRAM LEAD 
 
Miguel Saenz serves as the Civic Center Operations Administrative Coordinator for the Beyond the Bell Branch. He is an educational leader with over 24 years of experience who has served in various roles, including teacher, school-based coordinator, Assistant Principal, Principal, lead operations coordinator, Administrator of Operations, and Student Service Investigation Team (SSIT) support investigator.
