the Trump Administration is proposing drastic cuts to America's after school programs and then as a former California governor calling out the president on Twitter at what does cut could mean for those of us here in Southern California President Trump sings focus on building a border wall but his new budget make some sweeping changes including drastic cuts to America's after school programs and that has supporters of those programs fighting back from students to school administrator the former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger when you go into tax reforms which is going to cost the taxpayers $500 billion dollars every year the rich folk and take it away from the queen little kids it doesn't make any sense Southern California has hundreds of Afterschool programs everything from marching bands to computer top editions I spoke with some people who would be affected if those budget cuts happen our programs are needed to be for both act McKinnon Richmond it's not just sitting around watching the kids read a book so a lot of it is actively engaged in involved to open more doors to my future and it's been great and it's helped me a lot still connects the industry they're giving the real world experience all of our high schools would eliminate our after-school program enrichment programs the other in Santa Monica Community College all of that Fox 11 News in-depth Sunday on Fox 11 at 9 a.m. and then our sister station my 13 at noon Weisner Fox 11 News
