All-District Jazz Academy

In partnership with the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz, the Jazz Academy brings students together from all corners of the District to learn, analyze, and perform Jazz music. Students commit time to focus on this unique American music form. The culminating event is the annual performance at the Hollywood Bowl Jazz festival in June. Music legends such as Horace Silver, Tom Scott, Joshua Redman and Kris Bowers have performed with our students.
