Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz

Provides additional jazz instruction to District secondary jazz programs through on-site weekly instruction, Jazz Academy and through special opportunities to students and teachers who have active jazz programs. Students who have participated in this program have graduated high school and have moved on to colleges and universities to study and have careers playing music.

Los Angeles Jazz Society

To coincide with African American history month (February), provides selected elementary schools with live concerts featuring some of the best jazz musicians in Los Angeles to talk about significant historical and current jazz artists and their unique contribution to society through jazz.

Jazz at Lincoln Center

Providing select elementary and secondary schools with interactive jazz concerts and workshops that speaks to the importance of jazz and democracy, Jazz at Lincoln Center works to expose how jazz music works in various ways of education.
