Annual Band and Drill Team Championships

Having been in existence for over 50 years, the Band and Drill Team Championships is an annual celebration of the highest level performance the LAUSD has to offer with regards to the marching arts. High schools from all throughout the District bring their marching bands to compete using their field show performances in a one-day event hosted at Los Angeles Pierce College. Bands are sorted into divisions based on the size of their group and are awarded based on first, second or third place ranking along with a best auxiliary category. Winning bands in each division will earn the honor of displaying the championship banner for the following year.
