Music & Entertainment Education
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Music & Entertainment Education (MEE) program is designed to provide support to secondary music and arts programs throughout the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Through our various partnerships, music performances and career opportunities are offered to high school and middle school communities including students, teachers, administrators, and parents. Programs include the All-District Honor Marching Band, All-District Honor Jazz Band, Annual Band and Drill Team Championships, and various spring Music Festivals.
PROGRAM LEAD
Anthony “Tony” White serves as the Coordinator for the Music & Entertainment Education program at Beyond the Bell. He is an educational leader with over 30 years of experience who has served in various roles within music education, including teacher, specialist, and coordinator. As a proud Angelino and product of LAUSD, Mr. White is committed to the well-being of the students he serves and strongly believes in the powerful role the arts play in the ecosystem of education.

- Promote understanding and appreciation of diverse perspectives, enhancing empathy and social awareness.

- Martin Luther King, Jr. Kingdom Day Parade
- Annual Band and Drill Team Championships (December)
- All-District Jazz Academy (Spring)
- Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival

- Jazz, Blues, and Beyond Festival (April)
- Drumline Showcase (May)
